Fight Your Demons

What I will be writing this week I can definitely tell you from personal experience that this is a difficult one. I can also guarantee you that anything that promises a fast solution, a quicker way of getting there or anything that guarantees you anything fast, are just phonies. Why? Because ANYTHING that you want, that person you know deep down inside that you are and those things that you have yet to acquire requires that you fight your demons and these demons can be quite downright nasty.

You may be wondering what demons am I referring to. Well, those demons can be anything from your limiting beliefs, your self-talk, your physical environment, your thoughts, your emotions, and as you can see, the list goes on. The reason why I call these demons is because they are exactly that- they rob you of your happiness, they stop you from living your joy, they hinder you from believing that you are meant for greatness and they stop you from living your truth.

The reason why, and I can tell you from personal experience, you may be still stuck in the same situation over and over again in life no matter how hard you try to change the situation is because you have demons that you probably are not aware of their existence and you probably don’t know what to do to overcome this.

If you want certain things in life and you notice that you are not having those things, then you have demons to fight. The first step in fighting those demons is to first be aware of their existence. You can’t overcome something that you are not aware what it is. It’s like you feel you are not yourself but you are not acknowledging that you are experiencing certain symptoms. You can’t stop what is going on if you first don’t acknowledge that something is going on.

The second step is in questioning what that demon is. Where is it coming from? What is causing it? Questioning this demon of yours will help you understand it’s existence.

And the third step would be to find something that would kill this demon. Now this may not be easy and it may come with resistance. This is when it becomes necessary to remember how this is ruining your life and how this is stopping you from living the life that you want.

Life is not meant to be a constant struggle. Life is not meant for you to live with limits. Life is not meant for you to live feeling not deserving. Life is not meant for you to live constantly attracting what you don’t want. When this is what you are currently experiencing, that means there is inner work to be done. This means there are things that needs to be resolved and taken care of within you. This is not a bad thing. On the contrary, all this leads to better self-care, which is very much needed if you want to be your best version.

It is because I truly believe that life is not supposed to be a struggle, on the contrary, you are meant to be living a life where you are living authentically and very happy, that I created the FREE course, The Path to Your Nirvana™, so that you can start gaining a deeper understanding of why you are not living the life that you want and what you can do to change that. I would like to invite you to take the FREE course I created called The Path to Your Nirvana™, which is a 28 day course with 5 steps meant to help you live your own happiness by understanding first what is getting in the way of you being on your own path of happiness, how to overcome it, learning to understand your actions and focus and getting you to the path that your true essence has in store for you. How To Get Energy When You Feel Emotionally Exhausted

There are times in your life when you feel physically exhausted but not because you have worked too hard or because you haven’t slept well, but because perhaps you are going through some either inner conflict or you are going through a rough time in your life that is robbing your energy emotionally. I think this kind of exhaustion is one of the worst kinds because if you are not careful, you can slip down and maybe even fall into depression. When feeling this way, how can you find the energy to keep going?

First thing I believe is to acknowledge what you are feeling. I believe that denying what you are feeling is not helpful nor conducive to truly moving forward. By denying what you are feeling it’s like trying to make believe that the wound that you have isn’t even there yet it is bleeding and needs your attention.

Try to understand where this feeling is coming from. Ask yourself what can you learn from what you are feeling. I believe there is always something to learn from everything whether it is good or bad. Every experience is a chance to become a better person and understanding where your hurt is coming from can provide important insight to you that can open up the opportunity for healing. The way to heal something is by understanding what is causing the pain/hurt.

Take things day by day, minute by minute. Just try to take one step at a time, put one foot in front of the other.

As hard as it may be to find the positive in even the most negative moments of life, it is a must to find the positive in everything. What focusing on the negative does is that it magnifies the bad things which then affects your emotions which will then affect your energy levels. Think about this, anything you dread to do, anything you don’t feel excited about doing will deplete your energy. By focusing on the positive, you are shifting your mindset which will then shift your energy- energy that you need to keep going even when the going gets tough.

It would be wonderful if there was an easy answer, a magic pill that would give us all the emotional energy we need when the going gets tough. The truth is that there is no such thing but there is one person who has the capacity to give you that emotional energy you need and that is YOU. With your acceptance of your feelings, with your own compassion towards yourself, with you doing your best to heal your wounds and see the positive in everything, you have the power to get the emotional energy that you need. I’ve said and written over and over again, well-being is something to work on everyday. It is something that you cultivate, nurture and create. It is YOU who have this power.

It’s Still a Privilege!

This post that I am writing today is one that I write with pain and with so much mixed feelings and I hope this message can make you cherish more certain things if you still have them in your life.

There are things in life that we either take for granted, challenges that we may not like to face, things that we wish we weren’t going through, people who will get us on our nerves and on and on the lists goes. It doesn’t matter how hard the challenge may be, how difficult of a time you may be having, how much someone may get you on your nerves…it’s still a privilege.

That loved that you have by your side that may be getting you on your nerves now, it’s still a privilege that you have them in your life. Remember that someday they may not be there. This difficult time that you may be having, it’s still a privilege because there are lessons to be learned from that experience. That pain that you may be feeling at the moment it’s still a privilege because it makes you see how human you are.

Whenever you feel a heaviness, whenever you feel exhausted and tired of whatever situation that you are facing, please know that life is always changing so that moment that you have, no matter how difficult it may be, it is still a privilege that you are going through it. Life is extremely short and every moment is to be enjoyed. Enjoy that loved one even if they get you on your nerves! Always remind those who you love that you love them! No matter how difficult a moment may be, do your best to embrace that moment! Every moment, even the difficult ones, is to be cherished.

Today’s post I want to dedicate to my dad. It’s still a privilege to be able to fight for you, to be able to struggle with you, to be able to have those sleepless nights just to be by your side whenever you are at a new facility, whenever you feel lonely and need some company. It’s still a privilege although it’s a hard task but because you are a fighter, I am a fighter and even though there are times where it feels like it’s too much, I would still continue fighting along side you. For all those moments that we had to fight along side you that we know we won’t get back, we will still treasure those moments and we thank you so much for all that you are giving to us. We love you and will love you always!

To all of you, please remember that no matter what….it’s still a privilege.

“Uplift Yourself”

Today as I’m sipping on my favorite brand of tea “Yogi tea”, I read the message that comes with the tea and it reads “Uplift others and uplift yourself”. The part that caught my attention was the “uplift yourself”. With so much that is going on in my life, it can be quite a challenge to uplift myself as I am sure that it is the same for others as well and so I thought of this importance after I read this.

There will be times in your life where others may not necessarily be there to uplift you and this is why it is very necessary to learn to uplift yourself. In the same way that you would encourage others, you need that same encouragement from yourself. “But how can I uplift myself when I have so much going on?” you may ask and what I can share is what I do on a daily basis to uplift myself.

I am aware that everyone’s belief may be different and I respect everyone’s belief and outlook in life so you can take the following advise in a way that suits you. I believe that prayer is one of the greatest ways to uplift yourself. There is something that I can not explain but that truly helps when you need encouragement.

Have faith or the belief that things will change and be better. That belief or faith helps you feel and think differently. It helps change your outlook on the situation. Without the belief or faith that things will be better, you will feel a heavy burden in you that just feels as if it’s dragging you down. This places weight on you that reflects everywhere you go.

Don’t forget to do things that make you happy. For everyone this will be different. For some it is reading, for others it is yoga, or perhaps going for a walk. It is crucial for you to do something that cheers you up because this helps you to relax. It is in a relaxed state that we can accomplish more and endure more.

Remember that you are loved. I think it is easy when one is going through so much or feeling sad or overwhelmed to think that they are lonely. Thinking in this manner just creates negative emotions within you that just doesn’t help. Remember that there are those who love you, who are influenced by you and who also depend on you. Knowing this will help you gain some strength since love is an empowering feeling.

These are just some of the many things that you can do to uplift yourself whenever you need encouragement. We sometimes tend to be so good at being there for others that we forget that we also need to be there for ourselves. This is part of taking care of yourself in order to ensure your well-being.
