You First Need to Be Right With You

I have written and said over and over the things that I am about to write in today’s blog post. Before anything can be right in your life, whether that’s in relationships, especially relationships, job, anything you name it, you first need to be right with you.

Absolutely everything starts with you. Everything is determined by you. You are constantly sending energy that you may not be aware of that affects the way you interact with others. If you want to feel great most of the time, if you don’t want things to affect you negatively, if you want to come from a place where you are authentic, then you first need to be right with you.

What does it mean to be right with you? This means that you are mostly comfortable in your own skin. This means that you are pretty much accepting of who you are, the way you are. It means that you have a strong sense of who you are- of your likes, dislikes, what you can tolerate and what you can’t, etc. It also means that you come from a place where you are not so judgmental of yourself. It means that you have clarity of who you are and where you want to be. You have a strong sense of direction of your life. It also means that you clear the air in your life as to what may be hindering you from being centered and from your growth. Anything and everything that disturbs your peace you do away because you know it doesn’t serve you.

Everything that I just wrote may sound easier said than done but it must be done. For all these to be done, it is a must to have an assessment of your life. Without that assessment, you won’t know what it is that is clouding your life. You won’t know and fully understand why it is that you feel frustrated, why you don’t manifest the things you want in life, etc. It is the knowing that can help you find a solution to what it is that you need to do in life.

Give yourself time to be right with you. Give yourself the space to connect with yourself. Give yourself the privilege of your time, your attention, your love, your own moment to understand you so that you can be right with yourself. The time that you dedicate to yourself, your own attention that you give to yourself, all this and more you deserve. It is not only others who are deserving of your own time, attention and affection. You also need that from yourself. It is only when you give that to yourself that you will be able to be right with you.

Being right with you is so crucial because it is truly the only way to be happy. Nobody else can really help you be right with you, nor should you give that responsibility to someone else. Besides, giving this responsibility to someone else endangers your well-being in every way because you then become a slave to that other person. A slave of what they may think of you. A slave to the way they react toward you. A slave to their affection and the list goes on.

I would like to encourage you to figure out what is it that makes you feel right with you. Is it space? Is it being alone? Is it being in nature? The more you understand yourself, the more balanced you will feel. You will be able to fill yourself up in a way that no one else can. You will know what your needs are. Ask yourself, who is the fabulous person hidden inside you? You may be surprised to learn how amazing you are.

Do Things That You Can Be Proud Of

In today’s post, I would like to encourage you to do things that you can be proud of and to focus on that very pride that you want to feel whenever you want to do something.

Why focus on the pride? Pride is a great feeling and it is a feeling that can keep us going. The reason why I encourage you to focus on the pride is because there WILL be times when you will feel lazy to do something. There WILL be times when life will get in the way. The things that you may want to do may scare you. That’s just the way it is because we are human. However, if you do your best to focus on the pride part, this can encourage you to do things despite you not wanting to do them and despite things getting in the way.

Also, because it is the beginning of a new year, it’s easy to create new years resolution and not keep up with the things you have to do in order to accomplish your goals. It can be easy to be distracted, especially in today’s world. It becomes crucial to be focused for your own well-being and knowing that you want to have things to be proud of can push you further.

Do things that you can be proud of despite not feeling like it. Know that those moments do come so think of ways that you can overcome that feeling. For me, it is what I am recommending to you in today’s post- I remind myself of how proud I want to feel about myself.

Do things that you can be proud of despite life getting in the way. Ahh life, life sometimes does have its moments. Think about where do you want to be a month from now. Think about what you want to be able to say that you accomplished. If you have to, find an accountability partner. This can help you keep going even when things can get in the way. When my dad was very ill at the hospital, it was challenging for me to eat healthy because I was sad with all that was going on. It was the Sugar Buster program that helped me keep going even when I didn’t feel like eating right.

Do things that you can be proud of despite the fear. I can tell you from personal experience that the more you want out of life, the more fear you will feel and that’s because you are stepping into the unknown. Feel the fear and remind yourself that the fear you feel is also excitement masked in fear. Remember that fear is normal because you are stepping into the unknown.

It’s important to always do things that you can feel proud of and this can be big or small. It can be something like drinking more water if you hardly drink water to daring to do something that you have always dreamed to do. There is always a start to everything and challenges will arise along the way. However, for your overall well-being, it is important to learn from those challenges and grow. Nothing that ever happens has to go to waste. I encourage you that every day you work on doing something that you can be proud of and you’re more than welcome to share in this post what have you done that you are proud of. You Can’t Afford to Ignore the Signs

I’ve come to the realization that many times, we are the ones who unintentionally bring upon ourselves huge disappointments that cost us our peace, well-being and can sometimes, if we allow it, hinder us from moving forward. However, rest assure that at ALL and I mean at all times the universe provides signs to you as to whether or not something is for you and people do reveal to you who they truly are if you are open to it. Because our peace and well-being have no price, today I would like to emphasize to you that you can’t afford to ignore the signs.

You can’t afford to ignore the signs because your energy is the most precious thing you have. Your energy, and when I write this I mean your overall energy not just your physical energy, is one of your currencies. When your energy is not right, you can’t be your full self. When your energy is not right, you can’t attract the things and people you want. When your energy is not right, this will affect everything else in your life. If something or someone robs even a little bit of your energy, please take it as a sign that you must either walk or run to the other direction. The things and people that belong in your life bring peace and joy; they don’t rob you of your energy in any way.

You can’t afford to ignore the signs when someone is not compatible with you whether that is in love or any other relationship. But in order for you to recognize when this is the case, it is important to have a strong sense of who you are first. This is because unless you have a deep connection with yourself first in order to understand yourself, you won’t fully understand your needs and wants. You will lack the discernment to know when something is not right for you for whatever reason. Ignoring this kind of sign can lead to unnecessary hurt and disappointment that may take time to heal.

You can’t afford to ignore the signs even when something is right for you. It’s easy to be confused in the middle of hurt, disappointment, hearing other people’s voices, etc. If you really want to know if something is right for you, you have to be right and connected with yourself first. It all starts with and stems from you. Losing people or things that can be right for you can be regretful in the long run and quite frankly, a little too late. Make it a point to strive to be healthy and happy by choosing things and people who add to your happiness. People will show you who they truly are and it’s just a matter of opening your ears and eyes and taking in what is being presented to you.

You can’t afford to ignore the signs when a door is supposed to close shut. I know for personal experience this can be a challenge. Years later I end up realizing why that door needed to close and I ended up regretting even trying to open that door. When a door closes shut on you, (with this I’m referring to things not working out, or a job loss, or the end of a relationship, etc.), just believe and have faith that it was meant to close. Trust me that I know how hard this is, I know all too well but it’s important to know that you did nothing wrong for that to happen and that certain things are just not meant to be in your life for your own good.

If there is one thing that I would like for you to take away from this is that in order for you to have the capacity of not ignoring the signs that you are receiving, you first need to be deeply connected with yourself. It is from that deep connection that you will have the discernment that you need so that you don’t ignore the signs again.

You Are Where You Are Because That’s Where You Want to Be

Today’s post may be a hard one to digest for many. I know it has been and sometimes still is for me. Today’s post is about how you are where you are because that’s where you want to be.

Why can this be a hard one to digest for many? Because many times it is hard to admit that the reason why we are where we are in life is because that’s where we chose to be. “But Aura, this life that I’m currently living is not what I chose for myself?! All these things just happened to me!” Well, some situations may have occurred but in order for your life to change, in order for you to increase in well-being, it is a must to take responsibility for your life. Just like I’ve mentioned in my speeches, not doing so is like sitting on the passenger seat watching your whole life go by while allowing something or someone else to determine how your life will be. This is why in the book, Creating a Lifetime of Wellness, I encourage readers to take responsibility of their life.

Think about this for a moment, you are making choices every single day. Whether you like your choices or not is a different story but you indeed are making choices that all either add or delete from your well-being. The relationships that you have or the lack of relationships….your choice. The job or career you have…your choice. Your health…your choice. And even if you are predisposed to certain illnesses, and this will be another topic because I do believe that we are not our genes, it is your choice to decide how you will be health-wise. Everything is a choice!

So if you find yourself in a relationship you are not happy with, you are where you are because that’s where you want to be. If you find yourself that you are not happy with your health, remember that you have a choice as to what to do with your health and you can decide if you want to be healthy or not. Believe it or not, most of the things that you have and where you are, you are where you are because that’s exactly where you want to be.

If for whatever reason you are not happy where you are at the moment, then you seriously need to question why you are not happy. What needs to happen in order for things to be different? What can you do now to change your current situation? What actions do you need to take in order for things to flow the way you want them to flow? What do you want out of life?

Remember that you are the one in control of your life and of what you have. You have what you have because that’s what you want to have. You are where you are because that’s where you want to be. Complaining doesn’t serve unless if it is just to let out of your chest what you feel but this doesn’t change anything. What changes things is taking action. So if you want and need things to be different, then you must take action.

Fillers Are Just That….Fillers!

I think and observe and I’ve come to the conclusion that so many things are filled with fillers. Normally when one hears or reads the word “fillers”, they may think of supplements since there are supplements filled with fillers but claim to just have vitamins and minerals. Well, it’s not just supplements that have fillers, I challenge you to think if you are filling your life up with fillers.

What are these fillers that I am referring to? Well, fillers can be many things. It can be you being so concerned for another person as a way to not pay attention to what you need to be concerned with which is yourself. It can be you getting distracted with something that only adds drama into your life in order to fill up a void you may have. It can be you trying to put a band-aid on a wound that still needs to heal. All these things are just filling up on something that needs to be worked on.

Fillers in food can be toxic over time. This is because the body was not designed to handle those kinds of chemicals. Same thing with the fillers that one may try to add onto their life. You are meant to feel whole and great on a consistent basis but you can’t for as long as you avoid the real issues in your life. One thing I need to clarify in this post is that when I write, “you being so concerned for another person”, I am not referring if you are a mother or father of a young child or teenager or if you are a son or daughter who is there for an elder parent. That is NOT what I am referring to. I am referring to whether you are worried and concerned about everyone else except for yourself. It is important to remember that if you don’t take care of yourself, you won’t be in the right position to care for another person.

Fillers are also toxic because overtime, the body gets to a point where it can no longer handle what is being ingested. The same thing goes to fillers that you allow in your own life. Overtime, those fillers either won’t be enough to get you to a point of wholeness or those fillers will be toxic for you mentally and emotionally. There is a Spanish saying “no puede tapar el sol con un dedo” which means “you can’t cover the sun with a finger”. You can’t hide for long what is really wrong in your life. You can’t deny for long what needs to change in your life, otherwise it will all catch up to you.

If you currently find yourself or know someone who finds themselves trying to do everything possible to fill themselves up in ways that are unhealthy, I encourage you and the other person, then, to think about any ways that you may be filling your life up with fillers. You deserve a whole and great life and certainly fillers are not the way to get there.

“It Will All Somehow Get Done”

These past few weeks have been extremely stressful. The last time I’ve been so stressed was when my dad was very ill but this stress, which was brought upon goals that I had set for myself, was certainly not a healthy one. It brought acne to my face, so much that I haven’t seen in a long time, and a body breakdown last week Friday which led to me being in bed all day. I constantly heard a low voice telling me “It will all somehow get done” and had I listened to this inner voice, I don’t think I would have reached that point of stress. It is this that I would like to encourage you in today’s post….no matter what it is that you are trying to accomplish or need to finish doing…it will all somehow get done.

It will all somehow get done, therefore, there is no point in stressing. For what? To stress your body unnecessarily? Raise your blood pressure unnecessarily? Get yourself all out of whack mentally? It doesn’t matter how many goals you have, nothing is more precious than your body so it is a must to relax in the thought that everything will resolve itself.

It will all somehow get done, therefore there is no point in worrying. Worrying is so energy consuming to the point that it paralyzes you. It is actually a low energy vibration so this certainly won’t get you to where you want to go. Worrying robs you of mental and emotional agility, which you need when you have a lot going on.

It will all somehow get done…if you always keep this phrase in your mind, this will help you decrease any negative emotion you may feel due to the overwhelming pressures you may have. As long as you focus on the end result, whatever it is that you want to do, you will see the results of your labor.

It will somehow get done….a powerful phrase, believe it or not, and a way to train your mind and body to not stress itself because of life’s pressure. You were not meant to be stressed to the point of being sick. Enjoy everything you have to do, even the things that are not so pleasant- they are all part of the journey of growing into the person that you are meant to be.

How To Get Energy When You Feel Emotionally Exhausted

There are times in your life when you feel physically exhausted but not because you have worked too hard or because you haven’t slept well, but because perhaps you are going through some either inner conflict or you are going through a rough time in your life that is robbing your energy emotionally. I think this kind of exhaustion is one of the worst kinds because if you are not careful, you can slip down and maybe even fall into depression. When feeling this way, how can you find the energy to keep going?

First thing I believe is to acknowledge what you are feeling. I believe that denying what you are feeling is not helpful nor conducive to truly moving forward. By denying what you are feeling it’s like trying to make believe that the wound that you have isn’t even there yet it is bleeding and needs your attention.

Try to understand where this feeling is coming from. Ask yourself what can you learn from what you are feeling. I believe there is always something to learn from everything whether it is good or bad. Every experience is a chance to become a better person and understanding where your hurt is coming from can provide important insight to you that can open up the opportunity for healing. The way to heal something is by understanding what is causing the pain/hurt.

Take things day by day, minute by minute. Just try to take one step at a time, put one foot in front of the other.

As hard as it may be to find the positive in even the most negative moments of life, it is a must to find the positive in everything. What focusing on the negative does is that it magnifies the bad things which then affects your emotions which will then affect your energy levels. Think about this, anything you dread to do, anything you don’t feel excited about doing will deplete your energy. By focusing on the positive, you are shifting your mindset which will then shift your energy- energy that you need to keep going even when the going gets tough.

It would be wonderful if there was an easy answer, a magic pill that would give us all the emotional energy we need when the going gets tough. The truth is that there is no such thing but there is one person who has the capacity to give you that emotional energy you need and that is YOU. With your acceptance of your feelings, with your own compassion towards yourself, with you doing your best to heal your wounds and see the positive in everything, you have the power to get the emotional energy that you need. I’ve said and written over and over again, well-being is something to work on everyday. It is something that you cultivate, nurture and create. It is YOU who have this power.
